So, here we go with F week:

F color pages, of course:

This week we tried something new: salt writing. I found the idea online (but unfortunately, have no recollection of where and who to give them the credit they deserve). Basic idea: put salt in a tray (I used an 8x8 baking dish) and let the kids write or draw in it using their fingers (I had them use chop sticks...actually Liam's is a chop stick, David's is a straw.).
The boys (yes, I said boyS) loved it! We also did something else with the salt, but you'll have to visit my main blog to see what.....

More letter painting. Liam is really liking to paint these days and who am I to say he cant? So, he painted his F's and then a picture of his own (which I don't have a picture of, sorry)...

And, while it was a project for a different part of school, I realized it started with F and wanted to share it here. The project was to draw his Family, and he did a wonderful job:

We had some busy-ness happen a bit during F week, so we didn't do all the projects I had wanted to, but the ones we did sure were fun.

E Week!

This last week in school was E week.

Liam's really been loving the painting, so I let him do it again this week (the face was because he didn't want to take a picture right then):

Word search.....a list of words, and he circles the E words and crosses out the others. He's gotten 100% each time he's done this one!

D week

This is a bit lighter week than before, mostly because we ended up skipping school on friday.

Got A Ways To Go

When Liam was born, we dedicated him to the Lord. Part of his dedication was that we were not going to cut his hair until he was 12. At 12, he gets to decide whether or not he cuts it.

During our time in Mexico, Jon had a commitment and vow that included not cutting his hair. I found the pictures from back then and couldn't resist the following comparison:

Liam's still got a ways to go to catch up with Dad's longest. But, I have a feeling that in the end, Liam just might win...

Nana and Poppa came over on Monday and the weather was so nice, we all went for a walk to the neighborhood park. Liam had so much fun! Here he is pointing out a mushroom.
